Renae M. Rogers, N.D., L.Ac. C.M.T.

Dr. Rogers graduated with highest honors from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, where she completed the dual-degree ND/MAc program. She received the ND (Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine) and MAc (Master of Acupuncture) degrees while concurrently completing the additional coursework required for the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Classical Chinese Medicine.

Prior to enrolling at NCNM, Dr. Rogers graduated with honors from the reknowned Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT) and—shortly before matriculating there—received her Wilderness EMT (WEMT) training through the Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Her WEMT training proved a natural evolution of her love of the outdoors, her interest in health and service, and her experience as an outdoor guide and wilderness educator. It also marked the beginning of what has become over a decade of focused medical study and training.

Dr. Rogers also graduated summa cum laude from DePauw University, with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature and Spanish. Indeed, she stepped away from a promising career in publishing to pursue her passion for healing and wellness, including delving further into her own healing.

As a lifelong athlete, lover of learning and avid outdoorswoman, Dr. Rogers experienced a variety of opportunities for transformative healing, and the care she sought as a early adolescent laid the groundwork for her to become a TBM instructor. As a 14-year old, she suffered with an acute soccer injury that left her nearly unable to walk and quickly confounded her trainers and coaches alike. She sought care from Dr. Thomas Pusateri, a talented chiropractor who practices Applied Kinesiology (AK), and within two visits she was running and scoring goals once again! She also met a physician for whom the interconnectedness of her symptoms “made sense.” Although she did not realize it at the time, this experience marked the beginning of Dr. Rogers’ multi-decade patient—and eventual academic and clinical—experience in the holistic healing arts.

Dr. Rogers has since trained in a host of health and wellness disciplines, including: naturopathic medicine, east asian medicine (including acupuncture and herbal medicine), massage and bodywork, botanical medicine, homeopathy, Applied Kinesiology, Qigong, Taiji, other martial arts, energy medicine, wilderness medicine and . . . Total Body Modification. Her experience with the Total Body Modification approach to life has allowed Dr. Rogers to continue to recover and (re)build her own.

After graduating from NCNM in 2013, Dr. Rogers accepted an invitation to serve as a resident at the prestigious Portland Clinic of Holistic Health. However, Dr. Rogers became disabled shortly thereafter, following a significant pedestrian-vehicle injury on top of a post-graduation, post-travel depleted health state. In the months thereafter, it became clear that Dr. Rogers was in a fight for her life.

The following spring, she traveled to Utah to spend a week with Drs. Millet and Choy . . . the same week of TBM Module 1 in Salt Lake City. Thus began her education as well as personal healing experience within TBM. After returning for another visit shortly thereafter—coinciding with Module 2, Dr. Rogers moved in temporarily with Drs. Millet and Choy. She continued studying TBM, learning and implementing the TBM lifestyle and receiving nearly daily care. During her (literal) in-house study of TBM, Dr. Rogers began to see and experience the profound healing offered by this approach to life.

Despite having worked with, studied and followed many brilliant and talented healers, Dr. Rogers finds in TBM an approach that offers bold, comprehensive and rapid healing. It is a system that stands on its own while simultaneously allowing for the inclusion of additional, effective tools and trainings. In many ways, TBM provides a succinct synthesis of various disciplines in an effective, individualized and fun format! Dr. Rogers continues to heal, travel and study with leaders in TBM and the healing fields.

Dr. Rogers delights in assisting others to become more empowered in their health journey and aims to practice, study and live a life that brings to the clinical and teaching space—and to the world—ever more joy, refinement, artistry and inspiration. Dr. Rogers knows health to be a dynamic process, and for those willing to experience and transmit the courageous and authentic journey of healing, she responds with structure, guidance and perspective.
